Welcome to the m3api developer centre
This is the place to come if you want to know more about the m3 API, or “m3api” for short.
What is it?
The API is a web service which allows you to easily build your own applications to leverage the power of the mydeo m3 infrastructure.
What does it do?
In a nutshell, it can do pretty much anything our own service, m3, can! Developers can write applications that:
- Upload files
- Tag files
- Retrieve usage statistics and detailed analytics
- … and more!
How do I start using it?
To use the service, you must first have an m3 account. If you don’t already have one, you can open a trial one free for 15 days. Once you’ve got your account, just head into “My account” and choose “API”. Just click “Activate API” to get all the information you need to start building your application.

Take a look through the m3api Overview for some handy tips before you get started. Then, check out the m3api Payload Object Types reference – then you’re all set!
